Buddleia, that is...

I have a few buddleias in my garden, but the purple is most striking.

Buddleia Davidii Garty - the "Butterfly bush".

A spectacular plant that flowers freely and attracts a whole host of different butterflies in summer - at least, it does here in France.

Much better, IMHO, than the other coloured variants.

As it does here in Dorset, but we had our first hard frost last night, and the daily top temperature has fallen to single figures( centigrade) as we head for winter - and the Magnolia tree in  our garden has started to bud—:???:.
