I recently picked up off ebay a (new) copy of 'Signal Boxes for the Modeller', by Michael A. Vanns, for $22.00 AU or 14.99 GBP. It was published in 2011 by Ian Allan and the ISBN is 978-0-7110-3501-D. I found this book to be very helpful with many colour and B&W photographs of various BR Signal Boxes in all shapes and sizes. The book even contains some great interior photographs, also good descriptions of what is contained inside a signal box/cabin. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to scratchbuild their own Signal box, experienced or novice. It is a wealth of information.
