I was a little disappointed with that one. It was a good picture but I should have been able to do it a lot faster.![]() |

What elements of any picture do you think make a good jigsaw?

I was cursing on that one ... not because the puzzle was no good (it was a great picture!) but because I was part way through it and I got the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and, to make things worse, it didn't 'remember' what stage I was at before the crash! I eventually got it in 1h 34m at a nice leisurely pace. ____________________ Jeff Lynn, Amateur layabout, Professional Lurker, Thread hijacker extraordinaire |

Robert wrote: What elements of any picture do you think make a good jigsaw? For me Bob, apart from it being an interesting picture, not too much "mono-tone" in it ....... Trying to fit the black pieces is simply trial and error as there are no "reference" points to find. The China market street came close to that with all those almost black areas but, contrary to public opinion, I found it quite challenging and therefore, fun. If they're done too quickly, I feel disappointed - unless of course, you're prepared to post at least 2 a week ............ ![]() ![]() ![]() ____________________ 'Petermac |

Pretty much what Petermac says really regarding colours. Different colours are good but not when they all blend together in a mess, a bit like the Chinese one. As for difficulty I prefer one which takes me around 1.5 hours (or 3 days for Peter) as it's enough to keep me interested but not too quick either. I also think that ALL jigsaws should be of the BR blue era but I understand if that doesn't happen. Peter, surely if Bob did 2 per week you'd never get anything else done would you? ![]() |
