Hi all,

I normally use a mac, but for decoder pro I bought a cheap second hand win 10 notebook.

I checked for updates yesterday (I was on v4.24) hoping that there's some files for the new Zimo MS decoders. The info' said install Java 11 and then download and install v5.0 of JMRI and make sure that that works OK before then installing v5.2.

I started the installation of v5.0 and it seemed to be going OK. It was backing up the files and then it it came up with a message saying that I had JMRI v1.8 and needed v11. Well as I said, I installed v11. I've checked and v11 is definitely on there.

I now can't find JMRI or the backup files... not that that would do much good if I can't get it to recognise Java11.

Can someone help before I turn it into a frisbee.

Panic over. I've managed to get it going again with the frisbee thing.

Thats good news Pete. Did the latest version have the Zimo decoder definitions you were looking for?

Hi Dave,

Yes it has the new definitions and I meant to say 'without' the frisbee thing.
