One of the challenges of photographing small objects is getting good depth of field. Software is available to help..
The 3 following pictures were taken by using my Samsing S7 phone, held still but selecting a different focal point for each picture. The result as you can see is different sections of each picture look out of focus.







By using "picture stacking" software like Helicon Focus, the three pictures can quickly and effortlessly combined to create one picture with all the best bits.



I have no association with the software I mention and others are available, just passing on something I am playing with.

Admins.. Just noticed there is a section for photography software, this might be better there?!

Further investigation and I found a thread started by me in a former incarnation of myself about the same subject form 6 years ago !!! Id forgotten all about using this before. Sorry folks just put it down to advancing years !!
