G'day everyone, I want to create a parcels train on my layout which is in the BR blue era and I noticed recently while reading a book that GWR Siphons (I believe G or J) lasted long enough to be painted in BR blue. I have a couple siphons mostly H and one G. I am looking at repainting a few into BR Blue, did they last long enough to receive this treatment? I assume not. Just looking at saving a bit of money buying up new parcels stock.
