Seems to have passed quietly, but John Wiffen has revised his site with a fresher look and IMO a better layout. From the perspective of a scratch builder I am pleased to see his stone and brick textures available in a 'Builders Pack' with arches, a natty template for planning and cutting out window and door openings, plain stone for lintels, window sills and doorsteps, coping stones, a running bond for chimney stacks and a FULL A4 sheet of the texture in question. I note he has also cut back on the density of the black surrounding the Scalescenes logo, I often wished I didn't print two square inches of jet black ink to no purpose. A free download for curtains, plywood boarding sheets and compatible windows is included for OO and N scales is included. Good luck with the new site, John, Doug ____________________ 'You may share the labours of the great, but you will not share the spoil...' Thanks for the update Doug,i'll take a look at that.By the way i visited the Lynton to Barnstaple Railway last week. Not a long run but beautifully restored carriages and the station is a dream.Loved the match striker plates on the doors with the no smoking sign underneath.Progress eh?. ____________________ Regards Alan Born beside the mighty GWR. |

Thanks Doug. I even took advantage of the new 'free' download kit, R024 Weighbridge/Coal Office . Cheers, Gary. ____________________ ...as a young lad, it was big trains for little boys, now it is little trains for big boys...! http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=12116&forum_id=21 |
