For some reason, tonight I can not upload any photos to YMR. I click on the 'upload new photo for insertion', select a photo from my files, then click on 'upload'. Several minutes latter (7-8mins), which is quite odd, the screen that normally appears as the 'gallery' is completely blank... I will also add that the photo I am trying to upload, is in the same format as all my other photos that I have uploaded previously. I have even shut the modem and computer down to refresh, but still, second, third and forth attempts, nothing happens.

Any ideas what is going on or why it is not allowing an upload ??

Cheers, Gary.

I uploaded some about 30 minutes ago Gary, no problem.

Anything changed on your PC?

Hi Gary,

I was in the same boat last night. I tried to upload a few but only so many actually uploaded and it took ages.

I've not tried today yet but will do later.

Cheers

Toto

Hi Ed and Sol,

Nothing at all has been changed on my PC  and I do use Firefox. Not long before I got on to YMR, I was attaching pics to emails and no problems there... I have logged out and shut down the PC in the time during this post and the first post. I'll attempt another go shortly.

Funny things these PCs, until a problem rears its ugly head !

Cheers, Gary.

ps. Nice warehouse Sol ! :thumbs

I'm still having issues. Managed to get one pic up onto my Cement Hopper thread. When I went for the 2nd pic to upload, 7mins later the white screen came up with 'webpage dialog' at the top, with nothing else ! I'm about to try uploading another pic to my thread entry. Wish me well !

Cheers, Gary.

A left field question, Gary.  Has your security had an upgrade?

I had an Avast upgrade once which screwed my Thunderbird email until I found the problem.

Clutching at straws, I know.

Hi Max, nothing has been upgraded for a while. Had AVG security scan only a fortnight ago through the PC and it found one issue which was dealt with. Maybe another scan maybe due. I just tried a 2nd pic, but the same message came up after the 7minute mark !

Cheers, Gary.

...and the same thing as above, happened again !

Oh, well, better off logging off and putting a scan through the PC.

Cheers, Gary.

My last idea . . .

System Restore to a date prior to when you started having trouble.

This was the last image that appeared when trying to upload a photo... After re-installing Mozilla Firefox, running a scan (which found a threat) and several attempts at resetting, I ended up ringing Optus (provider) and they have sorted the issue out, hopefully... In the mean time, I copied some pics to a USB stick and tried uploading on Yvonne's laptop. Again, more issues. Strange thing is that in between trying to upload to YMR, I managed to upload photos to RMweb... hmmm ?? So, I tried again at uploading a photo and managed one photo. On the second attempted, the image above came up after about 7miutes. I then tried again and a pink page came up with '404 error', from YMR... Hopefully no more problems as the chap at Optus has told me it was a technical problem on their behalf and something was wrong with their connection... It's a bit like paying for the use of a motorway when in matter of fact, it's at a stand still...

Thanks for all advice posted, much appreciated.

Cheers, Gary.
