My first attempt at a Scalescenes building, or a card building of any sort if i am to be honest. I did this as I happened to have some 1mm card so it was a no cost project, other than time and effort. Fairly pleased with the result. Needs a bit of touching up but it has given me the confidence to go for the Medium Station that I thing would be appropriate for my layout. I also customised it a bit with some extra platform edging. Good job Rob, it's a great little start kit that gives you the enthusiasm (and courage) for more. If you get the chance try and read Chubber's hints on card building and John Dew's station building thread, both on this forum and lots of great tips and tricks. Though don't get despondent at the height of the bar they've set... they are both way above us mere mortals when it comes to card building!! Show us how you get on too, every little bit helps. cheers Marty ____________________ Marty N Gauge, GWR West Wales Newcastle Emlyn Layout. Newcastle Emlyn Station is "Under construction" |

Well done Rob. ![]() As others have said, it gives you confidence to have a go at some of the other Scalescenes kits. Tough as old boots they are once they're built. ![]() ____________________ 'Petermac |
