Be quick as they won't last.. For example, Hornby's Railroad Range A1 'Peppercorn', only £42.50 and not £84.99... http://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/the-engine-shed-launch-promotion.html?utm_source=Hornby+PLC&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=314019_Hornby+-The+Engine+Shed+-+Week+51&utm_content=EngineShedBlog&dm_i=2DJZ,6QAR,22CPSM,ERAE,1 Cheers, Gary. ____________________ ...as a young lad, it was big trains for little boys, now it is little trains for big boys...! http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=12116&forum_id=21 |

I looked at that, wanting a Smokey Joe as a future basis for a O-16.5 job. When I found out they charge £12 to post a £13 loco to France I changed my mind... Unpoop-unpoop. In case of doubt or possibly being misled ..... This is NOT "The Engine Shed" which is Gaugemaster's retail outlet in Ford, Sussex. It is a new venture from Hornby selling direct. That is a move they choose to make which cuts out retailers and has the potential to reduce further the number of physical shops we can go to for all aspects of our hobby. It also includes only "Railroad" items which is their slightly cheaper and more basic range. They are perfectly good models but not at the same standards of detail as their full price range. ____________________ Rick Layouts here and here |
