Hi Alan, The Flying Scotsman coach formation changed over its history. I am presuming that you are modelling the LNER and that can be a mindfield. But here it is in its simplest form. BTK, CK, TK, TK, TK, RTS (Rest Triple Articulated Set), FK, TK, BG, RT, RK, RF, (last 3 coaches not listed) Brake 3rd Corridor, Composite Corridor, 3x Third Corridor, Restaurant Triplet Set, FirstCorridor, Third Corridor, Full Brake. As most of these coaches are not available from Hornby and you are only wanting 6 coaches you could make up the train with the following. These coaches are the LNER teak coaches. R4170 Composite Brake, 2x R4172 Third Corridor, R4173 Buffet, R 4171 1st Corridor and R4530 Full Brake. I have these, though my BG is a plastic kit as I had just finished it when Hornby announced their model. Hope this helps, have a blessed Christmas and happy buying. Mark |

Hi Alan, Glad to be of help. The LNER Teaks are a little on the expensive side so may be put in a requisition for a Christmas present. What year I do not know. Mark |
