Pictures of steam locos

Here's some more of Tornado and 4612 at Bodmin Parkway last Thursday and some Traction Engines from a very wet Tavistock Steam Fair and a veteran tractor for good measure. Hope you like them.

Robey General Purpose Tractor at the Tavistock Steam Fair.

Sorry the Steam Fair pics are a bit rough. The weather was horrible and I got soaked (again).

Thanks for the great photographs - they remind me of some of the models I have seen on this site!
Not wishing to be too pedantic, but I'm not sure about the description of the photo of the week:  you have it as a Robey Tandem Roadroller, but I'm pretty sure it's actually the new express for South Eastern trains!

Well, we had Tornado down again this weekend on the Torbay Express, and as we have been experiencing some very unusual weather (the sun came out and it was blooming hot) some kind person at Network Rail put a grotty shed (Class 66) in front of it so that the steam engine working hard wouldn't set fire to the trackside. I was pleased not to have bothered tripping up to Newton Abbot to film it going through. Sorry. There will be more sometime soon.

The locomotive, or the Engineer?

Back in Basingstoke again, but not for long, just had an offer accepted on a 3 bed plus railway room split level house in Ivybridge, Deven, sorry, Devon. I'm only just recovering from our November move from France!

Anyway, some more weird railway….weirder even than the Yappanese one. Very swish. At the opposite end of the technology scale, Mt Washington Cog Railway.

There, summat different! [Yes, the building IS chained down!]
