Say hi!

Hey Folks

Now that things are running a bit smoother I'm hoping we can encourage some more usage of the forums. It looks (based on the Members online panel to the right) that we still hvae some die hards checking in each day - so how about dropping a reply below and saying hi, let us all know you're here.

It'd be nice to blow some air into the embers and see if we can get the fire to flicker again.

The more people post and update and chat on here the more chance we might have to pull in some new blood and maybe increase our user base a little.

I'm here, albeit as a recent returner!

I have been checking regularly :)

Check in every weekend.

I check in daily, now that I've got my 'pooter sorted out!

I drop in semi-regularly - perhaps not every day, but still more than once a week.

I drop in every morning to see what is going on. Not building at the moment so nothing to show and have no space for a layout thinking about TT 120 but everything seams to be so expensive so we will see…

That might be more likely with a bit more visual appeal on the front page. Where are the side-column pictures? Where is the picture of the week? Every other forum on the web has at least a header photo on the front page.

Good point Martin. All of thisee are things I had been working on up until we had the loading issues.

I'd be interested to know what people think should be on the front. I think there's a balance between having something visual and cluttering up the front page.

My initial thoughts had been a pic of the week style thing and possibly highlighting/featuring a different user layout every month.

The top of the home page is text heavy. A photo here will 'break' the page. If possible a random (probably not completely random but from a list of interesting photos) photo to surprise the returning visitor.

The list of contents could also do with a few photos.

… and replace with a picture of some sort?

I check in once a day and agree that a return of the pic of the month would be a good attention grabber.

Just checking in and Yup, still breathing, still almost upright. I know Break has been fighting this one long and hard in the background for a while and finally  looks like he found where at least SOME of them Gremlins were hiding. Thanks Son

Looking very much more inviting now -  from my desktop.  I note it doesn't work so well on mobiles but that's no great problem - I'll just have to force myself to sit down for a minute or rtwo ……………
