Yes, I can see the difference now.
Think I might pinch your idea as although I've used code 100 I've got one length of code 75 I bought for testing, which might look pretty good as my coal ground/siding.

Examples include Karoonda on the Renmark line where the 41lb rail was used on the transition from 60lb, Monarto South where 41lb rail was transitioned from the 94lb Tailem Bend line to Cambrai and Sedan before it was relaid to 60lb, Riverton where 80 lb rail became 41 to Clare and Spalding and Hamley Bridge where the transition to Gladstone was 80lb to 60lb and there are other examples just in that state, let alone the rest of Australia and the world.

Hi Kevin.
As this is ostensibly a US layout, I followed the style of having lighter rail in the yards, compared with the heavy rail on the passing mainline track. I didn't bother with adaptive rail joiners. I just crushed one half of the Code 100 joiners in the pliers and then soldered them under the Code 75 rail.

Super-smooth running. Is that just down to clean track and wheels or do you have stay-alives fitted ?
Also, I love the hammering and walkie-talkie sound effects in the shed. :thumbs

Yes, being a Brit, we're a seafaring lot so the ocean would be fine and a freshwater river for the canoe…………… Might play havoc with the Plimsoll Line but, in a house like that, who cares ……………… !!

The contract date is the 24th June, Peter.
That gives us time to tart our Blackwood house up before we go to market in August.
Modelling is suffering, but it will be worth it.
