I need to replace some rail joiners. Which type do I use, the track is hornby r600/601 and the points are peco st240/241. I bought these peco sl-10 ones and they fit but on the pack it says code 100. Are they the correct ones ?

Hornby and Peco Setrack are both code 100, so these look like the correct rail joiners.

Rail joiners are no longer cheap.
I used to search eBay to find who had them cheapest and buy a couple of packets so I always had some in stock.
Might be worth a look.

Not sure yet I’ll see how it goes. I’m hoping it will be ok. I have a wooden shed on the allotment and everything in it is bone dry and no dampness. It’s been up 5 years and there’s books and clothing in and no dampness or condensation. Wood seems to be a good insulator, whereas metal and plastic sheds get full of condensation.I’ve got a mini heater as backup though.

SL-10 will fit any Code 100 track just as the smaller sizes will fit any similarly-sized (or code of) track. I currently use SL-310 joiners which are for both Code 55 and Code 80 track, so little is the difference in size. In other words they work perfectly when I join my 00-9 track to my N-gauge track. The only difference is the slight step in the sleeper-base thickness which can be rubbed down with a file if needs be and the tiny step up in rail heights - 25-thou of an inch - but still noticeable if you run a finger over it and, with the size of the wheels at those scales, also giving a very slight bump to the rolling stock.

Ordered a chimney card kit, you can use a cardboard tube or anything so I’ve used 22 mm plastic tubing and a saddle clip to hold it in place and added an led on top.just waiting for the kit to arrive now.
