Modelling realistic ocean- or lake water with waves in toiletpaper and glue

Hi!
I saw a forum thread some years ago on how to make water effect using toilet paper and glue. I have tested this method and now also used on my own layout to make water in my harbour. I think this method is close to "fool-proof" in getting a good and realistic result. It´s also obviously a very low cost method, so I thought it was a good idea to spread this method by making a video tutorial.
I hope you like it.

Thank you.  As one with a vested interest in modelling beach and other water scenes all reference material is valuable.

Very good tutorial. It makes me wish I had planned some water into my next layout. I also really liked your engraving styrofoam tutorial. My planned layout does have lots of retaining walls. Now I just need to find a good source of styrofoam.

I have just tried several links and there seems to be a preponderance of ads coming up on the links in another tab…

I will refrain from using my link until this is resolved by digitalzones or move my site to google or some such

Hi Martin,

Great technique! Very enjoyable tutorial. Now I need an excuse for some water.
