Just found this post whilst browsing; I was born on a farm at Old Woodhouse just up from Quorn and would walk down to the station to watch the trains. Later as a soldier I caught the train to St Pancras when on leave. Fond memories, laterly I worked as chauffeur to the MD of Brush. Odd then that I never had a train set until I was 66!

Nice to see a station restored to former glory.
Not like the vandals who tore down the elegant station buildings and replaced them with bus shelters.

Hi Gary, I watched a travel show the other night,a guy riding a Harley Davidson round Oz he passed thro Quorn and did a little filming, it looked so sad that an interesting place like that could be allowed to go to seed  when so many Aussies would love to take it on and preserve it. cheers mate Pete.
