Ps, how long have you been working on it, is it an ongoing project with no actual end date ( never ending)
Whereas mine was just a project that’s not took too long and just needs a few bits added, I’m waiting for some barrels and skips from eBay. Got these wiking brand tippers yesterday £6 for 2 on eBay, weathered them a bit and put some coal in. They are Mercedes but they remind me of old trucks from the 70’s like the ERF.  IMG_5779.jpeg IMG_5785.jpeg

have you progressed with it any further, have you ironed out the teething problems so to speak. Your big factory looks great. Did you ballast it yet.

Most of the "teething problems" have been ironed out although I'm not happy with some of the scenic bits which haven't been properly "finished" - need to go back to it sometime.

Haven't done much on the layout recently Graham - been "otherwise engaged" but I'm currently building some Scalescenes terraced houses to go to the right of the factory.  I'm also awaiting delivery of a sound chip which I'll install in a K3 locomotive - apparently, whilst DCC Ready, the sound installation isn't the easiest because space is tight………….so I'm told !

Good luck with the project, what’s the total size of your layout and is it in sections. Is all your track laid , if so do you tend to work on a section at a time.

I’ll call it done now, with the addition of a couple of skips and some oil barrels.

Hi Terry thanks. The two small railways were my last projects, I finished the 800x600 layout recently and then made the shelf layout. I normally make dioramas but I do like model railways. I’m running out of space, I’ll need a shop if I carry on. I’ll probably just tinker around with what I’ve got to see if I can make any improvements to them. See what I mean 😂

hi Ed. I made them a few years Ago, just to represent the kind of music I like. The guitars are 1/8 scale (£15 each )and the frames are recessed shadow box frames from hobbycraft.the background is a printed off music sheet from the album in question with a mini printed album cover. Any extras in them are
representative of the band or particular band member. I:E a top hat for Tom petty, a cymbal for the drummer from rush, a confederate flag for Lynrd Skynyrd etc.  IMG_5807.jpeg IMG_5808.jpeg
