I'd guess this is one of those cases where you just can't scale down from the real thing Alex.

A "normal" pavement would be somewhere around 4 inches high - so, at 2mm to the ft., your "N" Gauge pavement would be around 0.5mm.  Probably somewhere near the thickness of the printed paper.  You'd never see it !!!!

Whilst I'm an "OO" Gauge modeller, I would think around double that would make it reasonable in "N" Gauge - 1mm high ……….

Agree. Plenty of 6" high pavements about.

I've had similar thoughts about Platform top "overhangs" where 4 inches is the norm too, so Peter's 1mm is a much better proposition.
