Certainly not a definitive "How to" and not even a "How I do it" but more of a "How I did this bit today".

Created and posted in the hope that it helps some of us.  I know ballasting is a part of modelling which many find daunting, some find tedious and others just struggle with.  Maybe this will ease the minds of all the above.

Very timely for me as I am about to ballast the sidings at Faversham.  I have been guilty of making the ballast a little high on the track in the past, thankfully the virtually hidden end of the layout so not a problem - you comment about patience with ballasting is very true.
