I had no idea which forum to put this in, apologies if it's wrong.

http://www.hatads.org.uk/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=33

Clicking on the categories on the left brings up images of advertising used in signs and posters through the ages. Right clicking on them brings up a save function, after which they can be resized in your photo editing software.

I haven't tried printing any out but should work and so could be useful to add some finishing touches to layouts.

I can't see any blurb about copyright on the sight, so I don't think there are any problems there in using the images in this way.

Well, I saved one & it must have been coincidence that when I went to print it out, my printer decided to spit the dummy & not print things at all.  Nothing. Not even my spreadshets that I had just done earlier.
Tried to reload drivers to no avail so I used a system restore, went back one day & all was OK with other printings until I went to print the saved Ad again & once more things died so I deleted the JPG file, cleaned all temp files out, rebooted, printed another JPG OK but then the keyboard refused to do things. Unplugged it, back in & now it works!
Sheesh - never had these problems with my pen & ink & ruled paper!!!

Intresting as I had a similar problem with my PC/printer the other day as I was trying to print off a control panel design. Instead of the printer printing my hard drive reved up instead and the pc basicly locked up! I unplugged the internet and eventualy did a system restore to solve the issue so I wonder if the last update was dodgy ??
