It is still a fairly new kit though.

I was about to suggest exactly the same thing. As a once regular builder of Scalescenes models, I would recommend downloading one of the small free Scalescenes kits and starting there. The costs are minimal, and if it goes wrong you think you have wasted your time, but no, you have aquired skills which will last your modelling lifetime.

Doug gave me similar advice many years ago and I am so glad I followed it .
My layout now has all manner of Scalescene structures……..relatively inexpensive and lots of fun building
Best wishes

- I killed my color ink cartridge,
- I have absolutely nothing built that I can post here,
- I threw all that junk into the wood stove.
Sorry to disappoint all of you…

I'm with you on this one. A set of cartridges, which lasts maybe 3 large kits, is now $75.00. It is actually cheaper to take the file and get it printed at a store on a color laser printer.
I like printed stone/brick/corrugated steel though.

Yes. But I am an old school guy and I still need printed instructions. As I'll never build cardboard kits anymore the problem is solved. :mrgreen:Remember, you don't have to print out the instructions, they are very 'ink heavy', just work from the the download on your screen.

With the Scalescene instructions I just printed a page out in grey scale which uses far less ink.
