A day in the life of Waterloo Station

Apologies if you've seen this before, but I watched it all the way through yesterday and thought it rather good.

Brilliant Ed.  Loved watching it - a real bit of social history, most of which alas, I remember only too well !!!

Also enjoyed some of the extra You Tube offerings to the right of the main film. :thumbs

Try and find the BTF film of the West Highland Line, it's fantastic. I wonder what the 'Elf and Softly' people would make of the scene where the train  stops in the middle of nowhere, the guards door opens and a ladder appears. Three or four school kids (Under 11) climb on board, the ladder is discarded and off the train goes again. Put's a whole aspect to the 'School Bus'. The scene is reversed later in the day, but this time the kids jump off.

I've bookmarked that one Mick :thumbs

'Mishap, before and after' was interesting as at one point I thought they'd forgotten about the detonators. But they hadn't and the signalman came and put some more on the track.

'Single Line Working' look interesting as well and in the comments it's mentioned that "The entire 289 minute DVD can be purchased from Amazon.com and is titled:  POINTS and ASPECTS - Vol 8 " (29 new from just over a fiver plus shipping).

Think I might get a copy of Volume 7 - The Age of the Train, since I've turned blue.
