Photos of the original 1930's drawings

Well I never thought that I would of got the chance to view and photograph the original drawings of the GWR Royal Mail coach.

It was through a very good friend that had worked on the rebuild of the coach that is I believe at Didcot.

The level of detail and the interesting notes by fire buckets etc was great to read.

Unfortunately the condition of a number of the was very poor so putting them through a model print machine to copy them was out of the question, but my pocket point and click digital camera managed to take some photos of them.
They are in Sections for greater detail and I will upload some of the overall images scaled down below.

I might now be buying the Hornby Royal Mail OO gauge and looking to refine it with this information.

Great find Ian!  It really is good to have some primary data to work from, always remembering that the actual vehicle may have differed in some ways from the drawings.  Therefore photographic evidence is very important too.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the RTR coach.
