Good story, thanks for posting the link. So, the HSTs' will be replaced by the Javelin. I wonder how long it will be before the New South Wales Train Link Service, will replace it's XPTs' (HSTs) with something newer, considering they have been in operation since 1982…?

They should have replaced them a few years ago - when the A$ was at parity with the US$ -  now they will say it costs too much –mind you given that Cuba are still running locos that were imported before the American trade embargo then our XPTs have plenty of miles to go.
