By far the larger of the two goods sheds in Huddersfield and interesting because it had a hydraulically powered wagon hoist. Sadly no one seems to have photographed the wagon hoist in any detail and it hasn't survived. The lift was in the projecting building supported on the columns. As you can see from the photos it isn't just a big square box like most warehouses but was shaped to fit into the site.

I've gazed at that wonderful warehouse many times whilst waiting for a train to York David.  unfortunately, I never had a camera with me so full marks to you.

Also, I had no idea that extension housed a wagon lift.  I'd always assumed it was for dry unloading although clearly, there's no loading dock……………..:roll:

I am wondering if John Wiffen (Scalescenes) took photographs of this site………his splendid warehouse kit could easily be adapted to model that building…….apart from the incongruous front entrance of course!
