Managed to buy three hornby R102 coal wagons for £20 on eBay. Not sure when these were produced but they look almost brand new.

The price was ok, I needed a few more wagons. 

Apparently produced from 1973-77.

Coal hopper from knightwing models £7.99. Weathered with a bit of black and rust colour acrylic just dry brushed on.

Conveyor belts and hopper feeders I think, but my layout is a bit small and a bit made up to fit one on.

Decided I can fit a conveyor belt on. Mockup with a bit of wood and foam to get the proportions right. Then ordered this from goodwood scenics. 

That looks nice. 

Thanks Peter , I’m hoping the one I ordered is the same colour as advertised ( unpainted version). The painted version they sell is green and more expensive, 

That's always the problem, these things take up a lot of space unless they're considered to be 'off scene' in some way.
 

Ye they can take a lot of space Ed, but I’ve managed to fit a hopper and conveyor in there. The rest I:E, such as a big coal pile and a JCB or whatever to load it can be considered off scene. Managed to put a couple of coal slaithes in there as well, just waiting for the conveyor now.
