As I said in my post Kevin, 70cm / 27" high. I was also brought up with Imperial, but metric makes so much more sense  :) 

27" is 2'3"

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Hi Bill.  I have just spotted the IKEA illustration of the “ Osvald “ trestles with a desk type top in front of a chair .I don’t know how high the chair is, I would have to visit to judge that for myself, but, it doesn’t look too bad.

The osvald trestles Bill recommended are very strong i put a number together for a local shop who have table tops on them holding a lot of very expensive heavy ceramics you could stand on those trestles.
A better buy than the plastic type ones especially in the way you wish to use them. Far more robust
