Since buying the Kato SD70M loco, I've got slightly interested in North American rolling stock.

My N Gauge Layout - No name yet – Your Model Railway

As I then saw these were reduced in Hattons closing down sale, I treated myself.

I thought maybe in the future I might make a small switching layout, something along the lines of John Allen's Timesaver, so I was going to need a few more box cars and got these discounted from RofS ebay shop.

Strange but the caboose looks to be a smaller scale than the box cars.  I suppose that's because the 'turret' is the same height with the bulk of the wagon being lower …….

I also had a "session" buying US outline stuff in HO scale - far cheaper than OO even in UK.  It reminds me I need to sell it on …….

Looks nice, Ed!  I always liked the gray and red liveries on those engines.
It's funny to hear that North American stock is cheaper over there as well!?
I was at the flea market a few months ago digging through boxes and boxes and boxes of North American stock trying to find anything British… eventually I found some old lima diesels but realized they'd all be too huge!
