Nice to be here, I was here sometime ago but as a rank novice I was a little reluctant to involve myself too much in the forums. I am hopefully a little wiser now and hope I can make a contribution.
My layout has been on going for around two years now although I have been modelling buildings for much longer. I have to admit I am not actually that interested in real life trains but just love the modelling aspect, I rely on my son to put me straight on all things trains. I try to achieve a degree of accuracy regarding time periods but I am very much in the run what I like category so this is not always the case.
Anyway hope to get to know some of you a lot better in the coming months although with a full time job and other commitments (Cricket) I am might not always be as active as I would like. I do however visit the site almost daily, mainly whilst at work (shhh)
Happy modelling
Shaun

A welcome aboard from Sydney, Australia.
"a little reluctant to involve myself " - never fear I have been modelling for 40 years now and still I ask more questions than I answer, that is what is so great about this forum, no one shouts you down, no one makes fun of those "stupid" questions. Usually I just chuckle and wonder why I never thought of it first.

A hearty welcome to the group, who comprise a friendly and experienced bunch of chaps, always happy to help and share their railway experiences.
Continued good luck with your railway and we look forward to hearing of and seeing your progress.
A bientôt,
Bill
At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)
