HO scale, HOn3.5 gauge

Hi All,

Anybody know where I can get something that looks like the locomotive in the picture? HO scale, prototype gauge was 42" (HOn3.5). Otherwise it's scratch and bash time.

Battery car, Blue Heron Mining Complex, KY. Photo from the NPS. Tram car identical, except no battery box, but a short pole to one side (with caternary pick-up).

Hi BCDR if you look at papermodelers.com in the download section you may find one of their mine loco's you could modify.

Hi Owen,

Thanks, I shall have a look. So far I have tentatively identified a Kato N-scale chassis, 0-4-0 that I think could be re-gauged to 12mm. I've used these before in OOn9, good little runners and nice and flat. They can't pull toffee, but that's OK.

The HO standard gauge side of things is easy - 4 Alco S2 diesels pulling six 100 ton coal hoppers in red Southern livery (I'll need 12 of these, 6 full, 6 empty). I already have one locomotive (Atlas/Roco), plan is to have 2 with motors, 2 shells. That way I can buy "spares or repairs" and spend some money on a couple of decoders.
