The Screens
Well here we are after a weeks work
And below is the result of a few days into week 2. And the roof section is removable.
Below is another angle showing the glazing.
Now after a couple more days we have it up on legs.
The Legs or Stanchions are also removable.
Now it is time to give the legs a undercoat and see what's next…

Just an observation, the blue framework on the original would be either RSJ's or concrete, the orizontals would be for floor levels, so, not sure why you have a diagonal one?

Whilst I was browsing for coal mines and buildings I came across this little site and noticed it also has a sloping floor and also he used one of the books I used, So I will continue to pursue the mystery of the sloping floor.

Whilst trawling the Net I came across a EM layout which features a Colliery and it is going to be at Manchester this month, Next weekend in fact. I am toying with the idea of taking a ride over there with my camera…There is a link below

Re the slanting floor, if this was actual, it would have been a nightmare installing machines etc, on it!

A first look at the winding house, After looking at pictures online I opted for a bit of a freelance job. The roof is removable and is still work in progress…
The windows are some Dornplas I picked up a few years ago from Fleabay…
The steps were built from my scrap box. Me thinks a light above the door would be in order…
I am now putting my thinking cap on and thinking about a boiler house…
