Hi all
Well here goes this Is the plan for my new layout. It is going to be based on plan 9 from C.J Freezer. I will be using code 55 and DCC & computer control. It will be based on a period from 1945 - 1965/8 ish. The points on the upper level will be servo control as this layout is going to be a try out for learning new methods for myself as my last layout the points were switched by the hand of god.

So here it is

I have to do a bit of playing with the terminus with regards to platform widths but I hope this gives you all an idea of my plan. This is the upper station board that will curve down on the right to a lower board which will have a couple of circuits so the trains can go round and round or loop and come back to the station, but I will post that level later.
Bottom right I have a line going off to a warehouse/industry scene that will be at the same level as the station and built at a later time.
Top I have an area highlighted for diesel service area running off the lines to the diesel shed. Then I thought that it might be better to use a couple of sidings at the top left? Not sure what would be best.

The last area I thought of putting a couple of carriage sidings in but I have now had the idea of putting the station pilot there for the steam loco's, what thoughts please.
This is just stage one of my plan and I will build this first get it tested and servos fitted before matching it to the lower level. I know it is the wrong way to do things but SWMBO has hinted at moving house in the future!!!! so it would be easier to work on this smaller board first and easier transporting it.

Thank you for all your criticism and tips.

Not sure what has happened to the picture of your layout plan  but it is very small - until the experts come along it is better viewed in the gallery.

Lots to take in there Jason, what's the overall size of the boards?

Thanks gday I do not know what has happened there, I will try again a bit later on and see if I can sort it out.
Ed the size of the boards are 2ft x 7.7ft. I know there is a lot to take in but I do like busy. When I started this plan I had all the points plotted out so it does fit in. Originally I do believe the plan was for a 6ft long board but I have managed to get an extra foot and a half in which has helped massively

Hi everyone

I have been playing with my track plan tidying up things a little and make it more understandable. I am sorry if the plan is still a bit unclear but I have not got to grips with Anyrail yet. So here I go again.

Forgot to mention that I will be building this in N when I get to that stage. Also by building this board first I will be able to see where the servos are underneath and be able to plan the lower level better. For the curve going down to the lower level I was going to try the woodland scenic inclines. Any advice on the plan would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
