Hi from Cardiff
Hi AllJust joined.I have got an empty garage that needs filling ;-) ;-)
Bought loads of OO gauge stuff many years ago but working abroad and grandchildren have prevented a start.
Now it is on!
Design, Revision 22, just about complete.
I spend around a total of 6 months in Cyprus so need to get a move on.
Cheers
Pete

Hello from new member, Gromit
…brand. I don't have a lot of space so I'm looking at a shelf shunting layout and searching high and low for inspiration. I bought a Hornby mixed freight set to have a couple of small dcc locos and some wagons. I also bought extra points, wagons and track so I wasn't stuck with the mindless loop! I've set up an inglenook layout as a starting point but I'm trying to find something with a little more variation. Looking at your website I found a layout with French labels tha…Post #235902 by Guest on 11th May 2018, 4:03 PM (in topic “Small O Gauge layout”)

Small O Gauge layout
… my 12ft x 8ft shed.I have decided to use one side of the shed so this is about 11ft6inch x 2ft6inch.
All sounds straight forward .
Problem is I just get stuck on how to go about it.
I would like to make an Industrial type layout so small tank locos and wagons would be nice shunting wagons around would be great fun.
I would be very grateful for some advice on how best to make a start.
Sorry if this sounds silly but I just come to a halt when trying to work out wha…

Hello from North Yorkshire
…red by other people’s work on this forum. So I went and treated myself to a Connoisseur Jinty, some Parkside and Slaters wagon kits.
I have also decided to build my own track and have managed to find an area of 11’6†by 2’6†to build a layout on.
I’m thinking Industrial type layout any advice would be very we…

Hi from Tamworth
…ay industry but have loved the railways seen i was able to stand, I used to collect OO but move to O now I'm finally in a position to build a layout. It will be 14' by 8' L 2' wide, based on a fewi things I like so really free lance if you like.
More than likely all steam tanks as I'm not sure I can accommodate a large enough curve.
I am in GOG and 7mmnga.org.uk so some where there will be a narrow gauge line, probably beer oriented.
Any commenc…

Hello from the Hebrides
Just checking in to say hello.I live on the Hebridean island of Islay which is great for whisky, but not for access to model shops, model railway clubs or shows.
In my retirement, I have returned to the hobbies of my childhood, amateur radio (MM0UMH) and (recently) model trains. I've only just started putting my layout together and I suspect that I will be looking for a fair bit of advice.

…el railway clubs and one scratchbuilt SIG to learn as much about the hobby as possible from like minded persons.I don't have a layout as yet (call it a work-in-progress), but have plans for a HO layout to fit into my 9' x 9' third bedroom/study. I'll use 4' x 2' (or smaller) aluminium modules with two inch EPS foam baseboards.
My model railway interests are:
- modern North American HO & N scale;
- modelling HO & N sc
