Well, The Ubuntu install has finally gone well.  I have a complete set of open source applications.

However . . . Railroad & Co is a Windows based software and will not run in linux.

As has already been mooted, Wine may be an option but I'm already starting to lose momentum for this exercise.

I've certainly learned a lot - which is always good.

What a pity RR & Co isn't Linux compatible but I've always been told there's no such thing as a free lunch. :roll::roll:
