Went to hospital yesterday to have catheter removed drank about 8 cups of water and 2 cups of coffee peed great for about half an hour then had  water retention the pain was terrible so another catheter put in for the next two weeks ah well thats life .

Sorry to hear that Brian.  I've had that water retention problem myself in the past so can vouch for just how painful it is. :cry:

Me too Brian.

I had the same problem in 1990 when I was still a relatively young man.

Different cause, but yes, very painful.

It will get fixed, but your probably like me, a not very patient, patient.

One positive thing had the clips out this afternoon by the visiting nurse and the wounds have healed up great :thumbs

Had the second cathater removed two days ago and up till now the water works working good :doublethumbjust a bit incontinent but hopefully the muscle exercises will sort that ,had me last anticlotting jab on thursday ,and the wounds have healed up great plus i,m a lot more mobile now but still taking it easy ,all in all feeling good.
