Tracking the cost and time needed to make a High Street for Tedderton
Looking nice and solid too…If, once completed, you can get us a photo, through a window, where we can see a ceiling rose…. You'll be doing well.

I've added the internal lights to the three buildings. In a few rooms I have added a 2mm warm white LED and associated resistor. I've stuck copper tape down the sides of the buildings to carry the current. My theory is that there should be enough space to add a 'groove' to the downpipe layers that go on next, before the external walls, thus sandwiching the copper strip into the wall construction and leaving it invisible from the outside.
Time will tell, but they all work and look good so far!
Time taken: 6 hours
Cost: £24.87
Mistakes: 0

The external walls are made up of a thin downpipe section, another thin section, and a thick section, which is wrapped with the bricks on an external cover layer.
By cutting a long strip out of the downpipe layer to accommodate the copper strip, and then two big holes out of the thick layer to accommodate my sloppy soldering, it all goes together flat, once the exposed ends of the LEDs and resistors are sunk into little grooves cut out of the surface of the card.
Here are the components of the walls, with their grooves and holes cut out:
And then with the downpipe and thick layer in place (just resting there - not stuck down):
Once the external wall is on, it all looks good:
And here's a view from the bottom, showing the copper strip in its groove:
Time taken: 8 hours
Cost: £24.96
