into that dead end track under the road bridge which is used for local loco storage,I have to find another location for the Watchit locos so before I get stuck into Marabost,. I have to do some shufflings and another turnout in Watchit


the cattle dock will be moved, the dock track extended for two locos and a brake van track installed

And here I thought my track laying days was over   Doh!

Oh well. At least it's only tweaking small sections (Knock on wood).

You carry on Sol (there are plenty of us that remember how good you are at relaying track as Peter says)…. it's always fun to watch… and quite prototypical really….

With Watchit trackwork done, got back into Marabost - part of the old West Watchit track gone.


the rest & turnout still to be removed and the area cleaned up.

The turnout on the Watchit track now gone so the work at Marabost starts on Wednesday after coming Tuesday night Operating session

It would be good to go back and have a look at what the layout was like when it was first built.

Every change has been an improvement.   :cool:

Good bit of tracfkitting there Ron i know its not easy fitting in a bit of track that length when its fixed down either side.
Its a case of how far can i bow it without permanently bending it if you want to use full length joiners.

I'm with Brian here Sol - a nice bit of engineering Sir !!  Looks great. 

I'm guessing the bridge has a road leading down the far side of it …………………………………… :roll: :roll:

In answer to Brians' question re joining - it was easy with  code 100 to 75 means soldered joins… but it always means close measuring and sliding fishplates.
and yes Peter, a road leading down & I will see if I can locate a photo.

I remember it now Sol - thanks.  I really do like your layout - plenty of activity and variation. 

With the wall removed- platform need to be bricked up - edge slabs still to be added in the fullness of time..

It looks as if Mr Beeching has had his axe out! I'm, sure all will be restored in due course with service as normal, including strong BR tea and cheese sarnies.
