Brilliant work as usual Doug. This pub really stands apart from the original kit with all the personal touches you've made. Its seeing work like this that makes us all want to try and "up our game".
Love the roof!!…..great job all round.

Thank you, John, No.1 of two, just resting in place. Balsa core, rolled paper pots and Superquick paper because it most closely matches the Metcalfe.  It should be plain running bond, though, for chimbleys.

Laying the 1 mm strips above the built-out courses was not easy, this is how my card heroes John Ahearn and EH Beale did it, but a lot more neatly!

I didn't realise you could take the roof off Doug - are you going to detail the interior or did you run out of glue ?:roll:

Peter, you know I can't resist a challenge, herewith the 'master bedroom', double bed, bedside table and table-lamp in place, now working on a 4mm scale chamber pot………………tee hee!

That's really amazing stuff there Doug.  As I said, I've just completed the current pub in the high street shops set and guess what - when I was putting the spare bits in the "keep forever" bin, I discovered the printed pub interior !!  Maybe I'll leave this skilled stuff to the likes of you……….:roll:

Final result, [why don't you see the wonky chimney pot until you post it???] save for the guttering which will only go on very last thing.

Thanks for all your encouragement,

Doug

Very tidy Doug.  Chimbley pots look fine to me.  Not many buildings of that age have pots that are all straight.

Great job,Doug.I agree with Dave re the wonky chimney pot.Its tiny imperfections that often help to create the illusion of reality….you DO get real builders/DIYers that do a less than perfect job…imperfections can 'grow' into a building with age also.
Trouble is,most kits have everything level and plumb and immaculate…and look false!!!
That pub is loaded with character, and is unique. You can be well pleased with it.
