I dont think its that the swatter causes distress to the flies its more that they have been used to 'control' or chastise' other animals. I was speaking to my cousin earlier today whos a Police chief in Oz and he thinks its stupid as well!!

sign of the times!

I was also informed the other animals could be humans. Same vain as a Tazer that is used by police. Or a cattle prod (not used by police).

As I said before, I make my grass stand up with a vacuum cleaner. They are legal here in OZ.  I think!

Tim, while those hats may keep flys away, I cannot see them make grass stand up straight :mutley

Not even if you used those new plastic corks?

That's the one I was talking about, Sol, in my original comment :exclam just couldn't find the site :exclam:exclam

Reading the comments added after my post, perhaps I shouldn't have bothered, as now (in order to make my grass stand up) I'm wondering if I can find a hairy, one-time footballing, fish kissing, tazer weilding guy, with standing-up hair and a bushman's hat. Then we can take my layout down to the local bilabong (wherever and whatever that is) and I can waltz with a girl called Matilda while this guy fixes my scenery :exclam:exclam

:shock::shock: I'm off now  :chicken:chicken :pedal:pedal

Jeff - you could always keep the layout dry at the billabong by tucking it under your jum-buck !!
