Nice looking kit. You could do a lot with that.

That look good Thomas - Metcalfe are, in my opinion, great kits !!

Would this kit fit in with your continental layout - I'd have thought it was a bit too UK styled ?

It would not fit as I am building a Japanese layout in N scale. But I still have a look at OO buildings because sometimes when more time and space are available a OO layout could happen.

Have not built the pumps. They are not particularly good. The canopy is OK though.

As requested here is the rear:

I now need to do something about drains, gutters and weathering. Something for mid winter.

Thanks for that, good picture. I take it that the existing weathering on the brickwork is as it came with the kit. If so it gives you a good start.

That is exactly as it came, minus the canopy and pumps.

I have been collecting posters from the mid 1980's to adorn the walls. The cover shot of the 1985 Pirelli calander is a good example. Cannot reproduce it here for copyright reasons.

Any advice on workshop fittings like hoists, tools, etc. would be appreciated.

The showroom and workshop areas will have internal lighting. The canopy which is being butchered will have spot lighing.

Thanks for the comments but it is Metcalfe who deserve the aclaim. Very nice piece of work.

nice looking building, might just get one what is the size of the footprint
please,
as for fittings you could make a four post hoist for that era,
you might look at Gem models for tools etc.
there are other sites too.
