Today we spent the afternoon at South Devon Railway a short heritage line. Some great stock ( I think they stole it from my shed and had it enlarged ! )
Here is a compilation of some of the video I took. I had to reduce the quality as in its original format it was 56MB !

The line runs from Buckfastleigh to Totness with trains running about every hour in each direction. We were pulled by 5526 on the way out and a green 37 on the way back,

Thank you John for reminding me.
Now I just have to get the sights, sounds and slow running onto my layout.
Have a great holiday….

Perhaps I could use this thread to post them? Seems sensible to keep them all together.

Thought it was in the "prototype railways" section??Don't forget this is a video section so anyone looking for still photographs would be looking elsewhere, and vice versa.

It seems sensible to keep all the video posts together, but it's also natural to do what John has done and record a visit to a specific site on one thread, wether it's video or still photos. This is a natural way to go if (like John) a member has taken both and it certainly keeps all responses together.
I think if I were looking for prototype information on a particular place, I would go to the "prototype Information" site and forget to check in the "Video" section.
Perhaps I'd put all prototype info (Still or video) together and leave the video section for videos of model railways and such.
Fence now firmly sat on … over to you!!:roll:

Prototype section to include both video and stills material. Section to be divided into 3 sub sections:-
1) Old railways (closed and pre-privatisation) 2) Preserved Railways (worldwide) 3) Modern Railways.
Model Railway videos to be seperate section to Stills.
Over to you for comment!!

- Particular places as some heritage type places will be visited by several people and it would be good to keep info together.
- stills of particular locos (they could be taken anywhwere
- videos of particular locos / stock again they could be tke anywhere it the train that would be of interest not the place.
