Not unexpected news. I knew how ill Brian was and he left hospital last Friday to return home in Perranporth. I didn't post any news of Brian's condition in case he were to read it. I have left a message on Beena's answerphone and will pass on further information when I receive it.

So very sad.  Brian and I got our different cancer diagnoses at a similar time and shared the occasional communication with each other and his passing is a real shock.  As others have said, he was a true internet friend, often going that extra mile to answer a question or give some advice and always full of encouragement.  He is already sadly missed and prayers and thoughts are those who are grieving.

We ventured into Cornwall two years ago to meet up with Brian to exchange a baseboard for his redundant H&M dual controller. He didn't look any different to his appearance in 2010 at the YMR show.

He was full of enthusiasm for his next idea.

I shall be reminded of him every time I run a train…. My thoughts are with Beena.

I know I said I would post the link to view the service live but it is limited to a small number so I cannot post it here.

Once complete, after 24-36 hours, the same site can be used to watch a recording of the event in case you aren't able to view as it happens. This recording will be available for 28 days after the service.

I will then post the link.

At the family's request, please do not send flowers, if anyone would like to  make any contributions, donations should be made to either of the  following Charities directly:

Cornwall Air Ambulance - https://cornwallairambulancetrust.org/

The RNLI - https://rnli.org/

Thank you Sol.
Some of us may already have the link as it has been sent privately by email to at least some of Brian’s closer friends.
