Hi Petermac.   I also sympathise it catches up with everyone . But in my case it is down to me being clumsy and not looking after myself.     Best wishes Kevin

Spoke very briefly to Brian just now. He was busy on the ward and will call me back this evening.

Still no further news from Brian nor Beena.  When I spoke briefly to Brian on Tuesday he said he was very poorly and would call me back but he never did. I have rung his mobile every day and Beena twice a day and left her a message each time but no reply. I am very worried about the situation.

We would be rightly concerned but we need to trust that Brian is in good hands and ultimately matters will take their course one way or the other. Thank you for trying.

That is a worry Derek although, as Rick said, he's in good hands.
I wonder if Beena isn't answering messages - it could be that Brian isn't allowed to use his phone.  It used to be the case in some hospitals.

Maybe his battery is flat and Beena can't find the charger ….

Such an awful shock and I'm feeling so sad.

I did know that, when they sent him home, they couldn't do any more for him but didn't realise the end would come so quickly.  By today's standards, just a young guy.  At least his suffering wasn't prolonged unnecessarily.

I only ever met Brian once - during the Kernow/YMR exhibition many years ago but we frequently corresponded - he was such a very decent chap - someone who really made an impression and someone you'd be delighted to call your friend.  He will genuinely be missed by all who had any kind of dealings with him.  Certainly his passing has had a big impact on me today.

Our thoughts and sincerest condolences go out to poor Beena.  At times like this, one feels so helpless.

There really is very little justice in this world.

RIP dear Brian.

A very sad day indeed to loose such a good chap as Brian. My thoughts and prayers go to him and his partner.

You are a kind and respectful gentleman Brian. Rest easy.

Best,

Bill

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Such sad news after Tuesday’s glimmer of hope.

I don’t think I can add anything to Peter’s comments above. Brian and myself had kept in occasional contact and we met several times. I shall remember the first visit to his then home and the fullness of the Tywarnhayle & Perranzabuloe Railway. There were tracks, wires and trains everywhere.

It was on that visit that I also first met Henry Parrot, the African Grey (I think he was) from which Brian took his then nickname.

Rest in Peace my friend. The worlds of pond-building and DCC modelling will be the poorer for you passing. My best wishes and kind thoughts also to Beena

What very very sad news.
I knew he wasnt well but he was so positive about everything I never expected it to be so quick.

We never met but he was a genuine internet friend and I will miss him greatly. He was a super guy, very knowledgeable and supportive.

My condolences to his partner Beena….

Rest in Peace my friend
