Sorry, Brian.

I only know the potato from the ground downwards.

I was going by the hint that I may have recently eaten one.

So, I'm guessing that it's not a carrot?

Is it a herb Brian ?

Would we buy it as a living plant or would we buy it's fruit or seeds ?

Matt said cauliflower - it could be a brassica of sorts - look at that tough old stem and yes, many brassicas have yellow flowers ……………………….hmmmm ………. :hmm

Is it a ploughman's plant ?  A breadplant maybe - or a Huntley and Palmer's water biscuit plant ………….

And the winner is Matt it is a cauliflower.

Normally would look like this

But mine went wrong LOL
Here is a piccy of some more that went wrong at an earlier stage than the first photo by looking you can still see a bit of white floret on one but the others are spreading and will end up like the first photo the brassica leaves shed themselves before it gets to the flowering stage.

Of course i was the one who planted the seeds in the seed tray originally for her and of course who`s fault is it that they did not grow to be like the normal cauli you would expect.

Hope you all enjoyed the little quiz well done Matt

Well the turnip seeds i did have grown properly and the turnips are looking good.

For those that dont know in Cornwall a Turnip is what everyone else calls a swede.

She has already done a number of seed trays with different things i have kept well out of the way.

My only attempt this year was Sea moss to make some trees disaster so far.
