Experience of building my first etched brass kit

Latest update for the Horsebox - I finally primed the body with the etched primer, then a coat of Citadel Red primer, and top coat of Railmatch Crimson Lake via my airbrush. The roof is Citadel Grey primer and the chassis is matt black. I am just waiting for the decals to appear so I can finish off the model with a coat of varnish. Not sure whether to weather or not though!

Keen eyed folks may note the coupling arrangement. Its my version of the O gauge Magclic downscaled for 4mm/ft. Its a 2mm x 2mm neodymium magnet glued to a 3.5mm long brass tube with a brass wire hoop. And yet, its works!! Uncoupling is simply pulling tyhe wagons/coaches apart, but no tools required.

Ian,

A wonderful job especially as it is your first brass kit and a Falcon Kit.
My vote would go for weathering.

Thank you Mark, and your vote won. here is the final model with HMRS Pressfix decals, and weathered using lifecolor track weathering paints.

Ian,

As I have already stated, for your first attempt at a brass kit your horsebox is outstanding. I can't wait to see what you do as you get better at this game! Especially as you gain more confidence.
