Thanks Marty and all,I would`nt describe my efforts as engineering Marty, just an accumulation of many, many attempts at building kits good and bad over the years. But thanks anyway.

ThisPug kit is all but completed now, just the brake pull rods to fit.

I ran her in a bit on my rolling road today and she was floating up and down on her front axle springs due to all the weight on her rear axle.

Being 90% whitemetal you would`nt think she needed extra weight , but her front end was too light and I decided to add `liquid lead` to her front `footplate boxes` and then add sheet lead to her smokebox to balance out her movement.











She will go into temporary storage until the warmer weather as I need strong light to spray paint her and that will be done outside.

So I`ll post this youtube link showing her at crawling speed.   Seeing that she is a 37 yearold kit with an open frame motor, I`m quite pleased.

She is controlled with my trusted AMR hand controller which is about 8-10volt max and is my `yardstick` prior to wiring her to a ZIMO MX645 decoder.

I suppose it has to be done in the end .

OMG such a work of art.  :chicken I'm sitting here looking foolish with my mouth agape.  I don't think you've mentioned a layout (or did I miss that?)  Wondering if you're like me and prefer the model building aspect more than track laying.

Very nice indeed, although if you could keep the layout from moving around like a tree in a gale when you're trying to do some filming I wouldn't get vertigo.

I watch this sort of thing with the sound off - no risk of songs in the head all day. My problem is I start thinking "I've got a spare shelf board, get that 7mm Bagnall fixed and running, lay some track…". Get thee behind me!
