Excellent idea with the dried out canal in Barnsley. It would certainly be different from the norm.

In a way I agree with Terry on the 'tunnel mouth' as for one, it would be easier to model and two, it provides some 'greenery' to the back scene. Toto, that particular pic has that rubbished, unkempt appearance to it that would suit an industrial area to the T. Now, to mix both images together… ;-)

I built a portion of the baseboard and started on the track laying last night. Well a little track laying anyway, as I have to locate the points & single slip prior to wiring. The flex track will then be positioned followed by the other two points. I'll start a new thread when I get back from taking the boys bike riding. ;-)
