Very nice Nigel, the wagon does look fantastic. If or maybe when I get to that level, I'll be happy as a pig in sh… ! I really like the scribed bare timber, it definately does the model justice. That level of detail is something I aspire to. Thanks for sharing.

I'm afraid weathering in my hands is very much a hit and (mainly) miss affair. This one turned out OK, some of the other stuff…….stays in the boxes or is seen from a long distance. What it does show however is that there is life in those old (and cheap) models (especially Mainline Wagons, where for the most part Bachmann never ever bothered to change the tooling, hence the inaccuracies). First place I head for at a show is the stall with the scrap-heap rolling stock.
