OO gauge layout with DCC

Thank you for admitting me to this website, I hope to share some pictures of the layout which I share with a good friend and which we started from scratch in 2013. It is built in a room that is approx. 30ft x 14ft and we elected to go DCC from the start, even though we are pensioners and had never used DCC before.

Hi there, Nothing to do with the aircraft; it's to do with the friend of one of Englands greatest composers and predates any RAF plane by many decades!
Cheers

Welcome to the club David.

Chris beat me to it -I was about to ask if Nimrod was airborne or musical ………………..  not from Worcestershire are you ?   Not east midlands but you could have moved …………..

30ft x 14ft - that's a decent sized room to have aqt your disposal.  :thumbs

As Barry said - a nice picture and we're looking forward to seeing (and hearing) more about this "pensioner's project" ………… :cheers

Thanks Peter, Worcestershire is a county I love and, not least, because of it's famous son, Elgar, and the wonderful Malvern Hills, which I see fairly often from the train as I go to a friend's house in Ledbury for a 'session'!

Yes, we have used quite a bit of the room, I designed the layout that way. We have four oval tracks, a branch line and underboard storage. Last year or two we've installed GWR semophores from Dapol which are great; I do wish they'd get on an introduce LMS style junction ones for the other side of the layout. Here's another picture and I'll post a video on the main site, though I'm no Ivo Peters!!

Hi David… welcome to the Club.  It looks like you are going to have to be a bit of a time traveller and take us back to 2013 when it all started and the journey to the present.  But you have definitely whetted our appetites.
